Ku’uleis Gourmet can be found in the small town of Hanapepe located on the Westside of the island. Owner and Chef Ku’uleinani Breen was born and raised in Hanapepe and grew up working at what was called “The Hanapepe Cafe”at the time, which is now her main location. Her mother Andrea Kaohi was once the owner of a delicious vegetarian restaurant that gave Ku’u her start. In the start of Hanapepe Town’s Friday Night Art Nights, Ku’ulei and her little sister, Anuhea Breen, would sell leis outside to customers coming to eat at the restaurant or walking through the town. As the first vendors came more attention, which has grown into the fun and popular Friday Night activity to do for people of all ages. Ku’ulei’s Gourmet is always creating new goodies, soups, and local treats.
